Whereas the absolute value of the probability amplitude encodes information about probabilities, its phase encodes information about the interference between quantum states. The first question is the indeterminacy of matter while in an unobserved state.1 This indeterminacy seems to agree very well with a Hindu worldview. They will deny that, these string theorists, but it's a kind of physics which is not yet testable, it does not make predictions that have anything to do with experiments that can be done in the laboratory or with observations that could be made in space or from telescopes.

In this course, we will study the properties that distinguish quantum information from classical information. The experimental facts that hadrons behave like strings, and they are bound states of quarks and gluons, which can't be confined in D>4, indicates there are D=4 string theories we're missing. Down here, space and time are so twisted and distorted that the conventional ideas of left and right, up and down, even before and after, break down.
