Dick Neisser had a profound influence on me personally and on my career. Due to the flexibility permitted in course selection, individual curricula may vary considerably within the framework of basic Institute degree requirements. As Dick stated in his classic book Cognitive Psychology, psychological scientists needed to trace the flow of information from the point stimuli impinged upon the sensorium to the point at which behavior emerged.
